Turkey parades are a common sight around here and few people realize what a wonderful thing that is. When I was a kid there were no turkeys in Minnesota and my father drove the family down to Rochester to see geese on Silver Lake.
I’d love to drive that gravel road.
I’m with Greg. No turkeys or deer when I was growing up in sw MN.
Great capture Dan! 🙂
Oh, my! What a wonderful picture! We sometimes see smaller groups of turkeys in our travels between St Paul and Kenyon MN, but never a group this large. Glad you were there at the right time for this! (One time I was rehabbing a shoulder in a Center in St Paul and a few turkeys liked to strut through the yard. One day they headed for the main street a two blocks away and we joked that they were going to catch a bus to downtown as one of the political conventions was meeting in St Paul at that time!)
