As my dad would say, “the smell of money.”
I’ve heard that a time or two. There were three cows that took turns sticking their noses out of the trailer; it kept me entertained for a few miles.
The thing is, growing up on a dairy farm, we never thought our farm (or ourselves) smelled. We always thought pig farms stunk.
None of smells all that bad unless it’s all over concrete or a nasty liquid manure pit.
When I initially read your title, I anticipated photos of cow dung. There’s always a bit of ambiguity whenever someone says, “Those cows smell.” I really like the shot, with the noses being the only visible part of the cows.
You nailed it; it wasn’t at all about the cow smelling bad, but rather the cow taking a whiff.
I can smell it now! 🙂
