Very nice composition Dan! 🙂
There’s something so compelling about this image. I can’t quite place my finger on it. But I’ll try. I think it’s that vastness of the landscape overwhelming the father, sons and dogs. Or perhaps it’s the bright jolts of red and blue. But mostly I think it’s the untold story of place and adventure and why that lone truck is perched atop the hill.
It is like the dog was saying – “hey, let’s go check that truck out.” All things you mentioned drew me to the scene – even @ 60 mph. I’ve photographed that a few other times, but never with a foreground interest.
Persistence paid off then when you happened to drive by and that foreground interest was in place. It’s such an interesting photo for many reasons, especially that unanswered question about the truck.
