Goodwin Avenue has become a favorite spot to take in a sunrise on the way to work. The spot, situation a short distance West and then North of New Trier, looks out over lush farm fields. A clump of trees off to the right create a nice border for the frame. Round bails stacked two-high give a nice contrast among the deep greens. The fields are often laden with heavy fog these days with the warm summer days and cool over-nights.
Here is a small collection of images captured from this site throughout the months of May, June and July 2014.

This is indeed a lovely spot, Dan, and it’s no wonder it’s a favorite of yours. The newer ones have that easy, gentle feeling, and the harvested hay adds a nice touch of warm interest, but my eye is drawn more to the first , before the tree leafed out. Looking forward to following it on into icy bleakness. Good stuff!
Absolutely gorgeous!
No wonder this has become a favorite spot. Beautiful images for all of the reasons you state and one more, serenity.
