I assume this photo was taken after the re-do, which caused so much controversy in Bemidji. Don’t mess with two icons.
I think so. I missed the controversy.
Minnesota has iconic statues all over the place. I can recall a few from recent memory – Paul & Babe in Bemidji, MN a large Loon in Vergus, MN, a huge Norther Pike in Erskine, MN, huge Walleye in Garrison, MN, a giant Blue Gill in Orr, MN, Tiger Muskie in Nevis, MN (a lot of fish!) to name just a few. I just ordered Monumental Minnesota: A Guide to Outdoor Sculpture by Moira F. Harris to get better acquainted with other features around the state.
That sounds like a good book. Thanks for the tip.
