what a lovely photo…great colors!
Red is my favorite color in the fall. In Massachusetts, where I grew up, we had beautiful reds, because of the maple trees, but I have to say that your sumac red is equally impressive.
We see some red maple leaves where I live, but it is mostly the color of those yellow and orange highlighters 🙂 Color so vibrant it almost makes your eyes hurt – hurt so good of course.
Love the fall colors, but were disappointed to find so few on a four-day escape this week from Nelson north to St. Croix Falls. We did cross over into Minnesota to explore Red Wing.
The colors were pretty spectacular this last weekend. I hope they stick around for a while. I am not looking forward to the plummeting temps and stiff winds that will blow them down.
