Making your own sauces can be a great way to experiment and create new flavors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Basic steps:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-slot-rendered-dynamic=\"true\">\n<li>Clean and roughly chop peppers<\/li>\n<li>Combine 2 parts vinegar with 1 part water in a pot<\/li>\n<li>Add peppers and other desired ingredients to vinegar (we like adding sweet fruits and sugars)<\/li>\n<li>Boil for 5-10 minutes<\/li>\n<li>Allow to cool<\/li>\n<li>Blend until desired smoothness is reached<\/li>\n<li>If sauce is too thick, add a few tbsp of water at a time and blend until it is the right viscosity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Recommended Ingredients to use in Hot Sauces:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Peppers (Habaneros, jalape\u00f1os, bell peppers, and ghost peppers are great)<\/li>\n<li>Garlic &amp; onions<\/li>\n<li>Tropical fruits (pineapple, mango, peach, apricot)<\/li>\n<li>Apple cider (for sweetness)<\/li>\n<li>Cumin<\/li>\n<li>Turmeric<\/li>\n<li>Olive oil (for texture)<\/li>\n<li>Any other fruits and vegetables!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Views: 25<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How to Make Basic [Hot] Vinegar Sauce The basic formula for a homemade hot sauce is usually a\u00a0combination of peppers, white or apple cider vinegar, spices, other fruits and vegetables, and salt.
